The administration has been closely monitoring the spread and impact of the Coronavirus and recommendations given by the CDC. Consequently, The Carmel School will be extending Spring Break through March 20. Administrators and teachers will be working next week to train and create lessons that can be effectively delivered using remote instruction should the need occur. At this time, the plan is for all students to return to school on March 23. This is a fluid situation that we will continue to monitor.
Athletic events and field trips will be suspended until the end of March.
Please continue to check your email should there be further updates.
I encourage everyone to continue to follow these guidelines:
Help Prevent the Spread of Illnesses
1. Stay home if you are sick.
Avoid close contact with others and seek medical treatment if necessary.
If you have a fever, do not return to school until you are fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
2. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
3. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Put your used tissue in a wastebasket. If you don't have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve.
The mission of The Carmel School is to prepare students for success in our ever-changing world by creating a community supportive of academic, physical, and spiritual growth rooted in Christian values to instill honor and integrity.
