  • Q. How many students go to The Carmel School?

    The Carmel School currently enrolls 265 students for the 2022-2023 academic year in grades pre-K through 12.
  • Q. Are students required to follow a dress code?

    Yes. The dress code provides and supports an environment free of distraction and conducive to learning. Our school uniform includes:
    • Shirts must be solid white, navy, or light blue and must be collared (i.e., Polo or Oxford style).

    • Sweaters or sweatshirts without a hood must be navy, light blue, white, or gray, and the shirt collar must be clearly visible.
      o Only hoodies with The Carmel School logo are permitted.

    • Boys’ pants must be navy or khaki-colored, of an appropriate length.

    • Girls’ skirts, jumpers, trousers, or shorts must be solid navy or khaki-colored and of an appropriate length (no shorter than fingertip length).
    • Pants should be worn at the natural waistline, and no student undergarments should be visible.
    • Shoes must be closed-toe, appropriate for school activities, and worn at all times.

  • Q. What is the student-to-teacher ratio?

    The Carmel School student-to-teacher ratio is 12:1 or less.
