Music

General Music class is provided to all Lower School students to learn about music in a hands-on, interactive classroom setting. The curriculum includes vocal skills and techniques, music reading, song composition, and how music relates to our own lives. We discuss how music relates to culture and history, listen to and describe music, and evaluate music and performances to better understand how music affects us.

Middle and Upper School students may join the school chorus. In Chorus, students work to improve their vocal techniques and work together as an ensemble. Our music program provides opportunities for students to expand their horizons and rise to new challenges.
The mission of The Carmel School is to prepare students for success in our ever-changing world by creating a community supportive of
academic, physical, and spiritual growth rooted in Christian values to instill honor and integrity.
