Carmel Athletics is known not only for disciplined preparation and competitive success, but also for integrity, unity, and an unwavering commitment to our mission. Our prayer is that every student who puts on a Carmel jersey leaves our program stronger in faith, deeper in character, richer in relationships, and prepared to lead well beyond the field, court, pool, or track.

At The Carmel School, we take pride in championing a Christ-centered, character-driven athletic program where every student has the opportunity to grow, compete, and belong. 

Athletics at Carmel bring classmates together, teach them to rely on one another, and build toward success as a unified team. We believe that athletic participation is an important element of a holistic education and should channel student energy toward purpose, cultivate perseverance, and teach integrity in both victory and defeat. At The Carmel School, sports are not an extracurricular afterthought- they are a formative arena where faith, discipline, joy, and teamwork intersect.

Nearly 90% of our Middle and Upper School students participate in at least one of our sports, and our “no-cut” approach to team participation allows for students of all abilities to participate. We offer seasonal sports, live streaming for indoor events (basketball, volleyball, and other indoor events), and professional logging for select sports (detailed stats to help athletes track their progress and showcase their skills).

Playoffs, Passion, Integrity

In the past three years, The Carmel School has advanced to the state playoffs for Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Girls Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, and Indoor Track.

Our coaching philosophy is, “Winning isn’t everything but wanting to win is.” It emphasizes both sportsmanship and competitive excellence by prioritizing the effort, determination, and commitment required to achieve success rather than solely focusing on the outcome.
