Carmel is home to FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Challenge team #45035, The Atomic Bots. Founded in 2019, FLL team #45035 offers an opportunity for students aged 9-14 to explore their interest in robotics, using LEGO Spike Prime and EV3 systems. The Atomic Bots invent and inspire together, as they tackle unique engineering design challenges, including a team innovation project.
Each season, the team receives a new series of missions, to be completed by an autonomous LEGO robot. Students must collaborate and follow the engineering design process to design, build and test their robot, before competing with the robot at a regional FLL event.
