College Counseling

Thank you for visiting The Carmel School's College Counseling page. Here you will find helpful information regarding your college search, SAT and ACT registration, financing college and general college planning.  
The Carmel School’s grade point average is unweighted and students are not ranked.  Our curriculum is college preparatory and there is one diploma type.  Below are our graduation requirements:
English
4 credits
Mathematics
4 credits
Laboratory Science
4 credits
Social Sciences
4 credits
Physical Education
1 credit
Bible
4 credits (or one per year of enrollment)
Foreign Language
3 credits (or two years of two different)
Electives
4 credits

College Application Steps
After college selections are made, students must take the following steps:
  • Submit College Applications using The Common Application, The Coalition Application or apply to the individual college online.
  • Notify the school counselor who will upload official transcripts, a school profile and recommendations if requested.
  • Students must request SAT, ACT or AP scores directly from the College Board or ACT
