Swim team Relay makes it to states-Again in 2019!

Hello Wildcat Nation,

It's my joy and excitement to announce that the 4x100 Freestyle Relay will be going to States!  It was a hard-fought afternoon as the girls were tested in their resilience.  After a disappointing preliminary, the girls banded together and chipped away about 7 seconds off their time from last weekend, qualifying the girls' swim team for States for the second year in a row.  After relentlessly pursuing the qualification time of 4:38.24, the relay finished on Saturday with a 4:32.98, which is a school record to boot.  Please congratulate Emmeline Roberts (SO), Brynn Wetherington (SO), MacKenzie Woolls (SR), and Samantha Senfield (SO).

Jacob DiNovi (JR) also finished the evening with a school record of his own, swimming the 100 Free with a 57.40 - a 5-second decrease from where he started this season.  I have to mention that Jacob also served well as a light-hearted spirit and thoroughly encouraging teammate to both his peers and coaches.

The season comes to a close next weekend at States this Friday and Saturday.  Emmeline and Samantha will be swimming the 50 Free on Friday.  On Saturday, Samantha will be participating in the 100 Back, and the other girls will join her for the final running of the 4x100 Relay.

What a season!  Sometime next week, we'll talk about the end-of-season banquet, I'll write the final send-off e-mail, and of course, report the results the States meet.

Live Right.  Swim Hard.  Have Fun.
