On January 25, the 7th grade world geography class took a trip to downtown Fredericksburg for a "Taste of Europe" food tour in order to experience the cultures and cuisines of Europe in an authentic way.

The students tour began with a stop for Greek cuisine at The Falafel Joint where they tried falafels. Next, they ate Irish cuisine at J. Brians where they sampled bangers and mash. At the third stop, the students tried German cuisine at Deutschland Downtown where they enjoyed samples of Bavarian pretzels as well as three types of bratwurst. Following the German cusine, the tour took students to La Petite Auberge where they sampled French cuisine by trying chocolate eclair profiteroles. Toward the end of the tour, students enjoyed Italian cuisine with gelato from Orofino. Lastly, they experienced British culture with some traditional British tea at Agora Cafe

All in all, it was a great day, and we are very grateful to the local Fredericksburg restaurants that welcomed us and made this happen.
