The Carmel Lower School team is committed to the health and safety of our entire Carmel family. As you are aware, the Coronavirus is impacting the lives of those in our world as well as impacting citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia. We are working diligently to continue to provide an outstanding educational experience for every child at The Carmel School. The entire Lower School faculty and staff have been working together to provide a consistent educational model. I will be sending out a letter on Friday, March 20, describing our model in more depth.
We want to make sure the Lower School students have their school supplies to use at home while the school building is closed. The Lower School team will offer one opportunity for parents to pick up their student’s school supplies while we closely monitor and follow CDC guidelines. Parents will have the opportunity to drive through the normal carpool line and pick up the supplies.
Lower School Supply Pick-Up (This is the only time this is offered.) When: Friday, March 20, 2020 Time: 7:15 a.m.- 9:15 a.m.
Every parent or designated adult will drive up through the drop-off/pick up line in front of Lower School with their green ride call tag or a paper plate with your child’s last name in bold print to designate which child’s belongings to pick up.
Do not get out of your car.
Pop the trunk.
We will put your student’s belongings in your trunk and close the trunk.
The parent drives away.
We miss you all and look forward to seeing you on Friday morning.
The mission of The Carmel School is to prepare students for success in our ever-changing world by creating a community supportive of academic, physical, and spiritual growth rooted in Christian values to instill honor and integrity.
