General Announcements
  • Athletic Bulletin - 03.29.21 - 04.01.21

  • Chick-Fil-A is Back! - We are excited to announce that beginning today you are able to order Chick-Fil-A for your child twice a week during the remainder of this school year. You will place your order weekly through your Wildcats Web account. If you need assistance logging into Wildcats Web, please contact Mrs. Romano. Lunch orders for the week of April 6 through April 9 are due April 1, 2021 by 12:00 pm. Questions? Contact Mrs. Geldart, Student Services Coordinator.

  • Updated 2020-2021 Academic Calendar - Updates have been made to the current academic calendar. The last day of school for Lower School students is Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 12:00 pm. Exams for Middle/Upper School will be May 17-20, 2021. The Class of 2021 Graduation ceremony will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021.

  • School Store - You can place an order for school store merchandise by logging into your WildcatsWeb account and navigating to the Resource Board tile labeled "School Store." Some items purchased are available for immediate fulfillment. We have added a school polo to the store! Orders can be placed until May 21, 2021. Questions? Contact Mrs. Geldart, Student Services Coordinator.

  • 2021 - 2022 Re-Enrollment Reminder - The deadline to re-enroll and receive the discounted tuition rate and secure your child's seat is this week. Re-enrollment contracts and enrollment deposits must be paid by March 31, 2021. Due to unprecedented prospective family interest, if we have not received your enrollment agreement and deposit by this deadline, we cannot guarantee your seat for the 21-22 school year. Reminder: For every student you refer that is admitted to the school, you will receive $300 tuition remission.

  • Spring Pictures - March 31, 2021 - This is a change! Spring pictures were previously scheduled for April 13, 2021. This date has been changed to March 31, 2021. Please wear Sunday best or school uniform.

  • Carmel Wear and Jeans Day - April 1, 2021 - Students and faculty are allowed to wear Carmel clothing and jeans on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Please no pajama pants or jeans with holes.

  • Easter Holiday - April 2-5, 2021 - School will be closed in observance of Good Friday and Easter Monday. Please keep the following in mind, travel increases your chances of contracting COVID. The CDC has posted information to consider if you do travel that you can read here. If you plan to travel, please self-sequester after your return. Please notify Mrs. Williamson to agree on a safe date to return to school following the break.

  • Financial Aid - Parents of students that have re-enrolled for 2021-2022 may apply through FACTS for financial aid. The application opens April 1, 2021, and closes July 1, 2021.

  • Senior Swag - Interested in celebrating the accomplishments of a member of The Carmel School Class of 2021? Orders due April 30, 2021.

  • 2021-2022 Academic Calendar - This is a tentative version of the 2021-2022 academic calendar. The virtual days following Thanksgiving break will be dependent on COVID guidelines. If we can be in school safely, following Thanksgiving, students will be in-person.
Lower School Announcements
  • IOWA Test of Basic Skills - April 26-30, 2021 - The Lower School will be testing throughout the week.
     
  • THANK YOU! - The Lower School would like to thank Mrs. Banks, Nora M. ('27), and Fisher W. ('27), for the opportunity to meet and greet with the 5th grade class! 
Middle/Upper Schoo Announcements
  • SAT Registration Deadline - The deadline for the May SAT test date is April 8.

  • Junior Class Meeting - April 8, 2021 - Mrs. Banks will be having a Junior Class meeting during Study Hall. 

  • IOWA Test of Basic Skills - April 19, 21, 23 - The Middle School will be testing in the mornings of April 19, April 21, and April 23. Please make every attempt to have your child to school on time during the testing window. 7:45 - 9:30 am

  • eConferences - Virtual teacher conferences are available in grades 6-12 by appointment during the week of April 12. In lieu of in-person conferences, parents and guardians are invited to video conference with teachers via Google's Meet platform. Teachers are asked to hold 3:15-4:15 pm throughout the week for conferences. Parents and guardians are invited to request appointments with teachers via email but may also receive appointment requests from their students' teachers. 
    A Google account makes this virtually seamless, but we encourage you to familiarize yourself with Google Meet before your appointment(s). Note that you can participate in Google Meet video conferences without a Google account, but some additional setup may be required in advance.

  • Congratulations, Mackenzie T. ('27) - Mackenzie won the USA Archery 2021 Virginia State Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) championship in her division for youth female compound archer.  The championship tournament was held at the Horizon Sports Complex. Congrats, Mackenzie!

  • Congratulations, Molly H. ('25) - Molly qualified for the National Club Association (NCSA) Age Group 2021. She competed and swam her personal best time. She qualified for age group times in Virginia and some national times for 2022. Her team scored the highest scores combined in the men's and women's divisions. They brought home the NCSA Age Group Championship. Congrats, Molly!
